First Adventure of 2011

January 7, 2011

We went on a little trip to Kagoshima to check out the biggest stump in Japan and a waterfall I had seen on a map recently.  Turns out I’d already been to see the waterfall within the first month of arriving here but didn’t remember it’s name or quite where it was.  Luckily, we were able to find a path down to the bottom this time and got quite a different view.

And a giant fern.  Maybe the biggest in Japan.  Who knows?

  1. Can you blog about the effects of Kirishima’s eruption to your town? I’m looking forward.

    • Thanks for the comment, Mark! Just finally got around to putting up some pictures of the effects of the eruption of Shinmoedake.
